This elegant, bright, open plan kitchen has been created using the Harwood design in French Grey and Dove Grey co-ordinating effortlessly with the contemporary feel within the space. The design has made full use of the vast area available and the decor chosen complements the hand painted finishes effortlessly.

Choosing to mix copper details with the kitchens natural tones helps to bring a modern touch to the traditional style, producing a beautiful contrast. The choice of finishes maximises the light and airy atmosphere to the room.

The family wanted a way to store some of their lesser used items so they didn’t take up space in the wall units, the retailer decided that these glazed units would be the best way to achieve this.

Internal lighting and the use of decorative paper within these cabinets help to draw the eye and welcomes a touch of individual flare to the classic appearance.

An island not only makes a great feature within this kitchen, but also provides further areas for storage and preperation. This design feature also provides a social area, for people to come together whilst cooking to create a social hub.  Incorporating a range of useful features including wine racks and timber chopping board was an excellent idea suggested by EH Smith. 

Functionality was key during design, the customers decided that pan drawers designed around the large cooker, would help to to assist effortless cooking by allowing them to reach for utensils and pots without having to leave the space.
