The Brief
I’m a huge fan of the Laura Ashley style which is why I was delighted to find out that they also do kitchens. I was already in the early planning stages of redoing our kitchen, so when I visited my local Laura Ashley Kitchen Collection retailer I was immediately impressed and knew I wanted a Laura Ashley kitchen. It was the Laura Ashley name that made my final decision!
The choice of styles and colours available was fantastic and I had a hard time deciding on my preferred colour, eventually deciding on Skylon Grey which works really well with the rest of the décor. We have a town house and I wanted to go for a style that was classic but would suit our lifestyle too. We chose the Whitby range with oak handles and oak worktops as we were inspired by the images in the brochure and knew it would fit perfectly with the rest of the house.
We didn’t want everything out on show, so our kitchen designer incorporated lots of different ideas, such as the tall pull out larder unit and integrated appliances. It’s the little details that make the difference to this kitchen; things like the Laura Ashley name on the drawers and the hinge covers that you just can’t get from anywhere else, I also loved the Laura Ashley chopping board that came with the kitchen too!
